Why Clean Your Air Ducts?

These are the typical steps involved in a Blackmon Mooring Air Duct Cleaning:

STEP 1: Beginning with each supply and return air vent, they vacuum any loose dirt and debris.

STEP 2: Using a Duct Sweeper, they begin loosening dust and debris within the ducts all the way to the unit. A high-powered HEPA vacuum draws all debris immediately encountered by the Duct Sweeper out of the ductwork. The HEPA system filters the air so that the air flowing from the machine is contaminant free.

STEP 3: They refer to their method of air duct cleaning as source removal. Meaning that they not only clean the ducts but also the unit. Once they have cleaned the ducts they clean system components such as: the blower motor, heating and cooling coils, drain pan, filters and interior housing. This extra step insures that when the unit is turned on, the clean ducts are not re-contaminated.
